NEWS
APRIL 27, 2019.   Well OUR DAY WAS A GREAT SUCCESS! Thank you everyone for your support! To everyone who was there, thank you so much for coming along and supporting our day! Thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets and bid on our auction items! So many people to thank, but I will do that on the separate page – see link above.
In the days leading up to the event, I was actually expecting a smaller attendance this year, as I had received a few apologies from people - some who come every year - who couldn't make it. And having the day falling in school holidays, and right after Easter and Anzac Day was probably not ideal either. (But choosing a date has been very difficult, in the past to avoid clashes with other events, so it kind of had to be when it was). But despite that we had a much bigger attendance than last year, and we raised more money!
Everyone there seemed to have a good time, and even a couple of people I spoke to who were there for the first time said they really enjoyed the afternoon.
We had a great selection of cars to admire! And that was due to other clubs being more actively involved this year. The South Coast Vintage Car Club, which is my main club, had by far the greatest attendance (they are a big club), but there was good support from the Dapto Classic Car Club, who had made this their main charity event for the year and not only promoted it on their Facebook page and at meetings etc, but also gave us a $500 donation The MotorLife Museum also had it down as a run for this month, and we had a few cars from there too. The only disappointment was from the bikes - we didn't have a lot of two-wheelers to admire.
So, let’s cut to the chase, the bottom line - how much did we raise? OUR TALLY AT THE END OF THE DAY WAS $3,084.48.
And remember, every cent of that goes to The Kids Cancer Project. It was a fabulous result!! So thank you all for such generous support for this very deserving cause.

APRIL 26, 2019.  I'm sorry this page hasn't been regularly updated. Although I did say that most day-to-day happenings would be posted on our Facebook page. That seems to be the way these days - Facebook has become a major way of communication. Anyway, as I write this my wife has just spent two days cooking, so we are going to have plenty of food for you to enjoy!! The forecast os for a fine sunny day, so all is set. We just need you (if you are able to) to come along, help make our day a success, and enjoy the afternoon.

FEBRUARY 14, 2019. OUR HOLIDAY RAFFLE IS ON AGAIN!! Thanks to the generosity of businesses in the Blue Mountains, in particular at this stage, The Metropole Guesthouse Katoomba, who are again donating 2 nights accommodation, we will be able to put together a holiday package to raffle. More details to come. Thanks once again to Metropole Guesthouse for making this possible.

JANUARY 11, 2019.  Well, we've hit the ground runing! I've contacted The Kids Cancer Project, and they have updated the donations page, so that is now live and ready for your donations!! Click here for that one. There is also a separate Event page on Facebook too. Apparently that is a better way to do it than just having the main page. Click here to go to it.

JANUARY 8, 2019. I've been a bit slow kicking this off again for this year, but here we go! Grab your diary and write down the date - APRIL 27. Details are yet to be worked out, but at this stage it will be at the same place - Dapto Anglican Church hall - and same time - 2pm.
The same format and proceedings as previous years  - $10 entry per car or bike, and that puts you in the running for a prize, plus there will be raffles on the day.
The main thing though, is that we will be raising money for the Kids Cancer Project, for research into this horrendous disease that kills people every year - people like my 8-year old grandson, Joshua. Please contribute and support this event, so that one day, no child will lose their life to this awful disease!
